CheckVPN is a handy tool for checking your current status and answering the question: "Am I on the campus network?"

By navigating to https://checkvpn.uwaterloo.ca/ users who are on the campus network get a quick confirmation page, while those who are not are given information on how to connect to the VPN.

This tool is frequently used to protect sites that are intended to be used internally -- a simple proxy configuration can improve user experience by redirecting non-internal IPs to CheckVPN instead of throwing an error page!
